The Art of Cigar Etiquette
Enjoying a premium cigar is not simply about smoking - it is a ritual of patience, appreciation, and respect. Proper cigar etiquette allows you to experience the craftsmanship of the cigar while remaining considerate of those around you.

Choose the Right Setting
Before lighting a cigar, make sure smoking is permitted and appropriate. In a lounge or social setting, respect the comfort, personal space, and preferences of others.
Cut with Precision
Use a clean, sharp cigar cutter. Remove only the cap at the head of the cigar, avoiding an excessively deep cut that may damage or unravel the wrapper.

Light with Patience
Hold the flame slightly below the foot of the cigar without pressing it directly against the tobacco. Slowly rotate the cigar to toast the foot evenly, then take gentle puffs until a balanced glow is established.
Whenever possible, use a butane lighter or a cedar spill. Avoid fuels or flames that may introduce unwanted aromas.

The Essential Rule
There is no need to rush or impress. Select carefully, cut precisely, light patiently, and enjoy every moment.
A DAVTIAN cigar is created to be experienced with refinement, respect, and time.

Smoke Slowly
A premium cigar should be enjoyed at an unhurried pace. Take gentle, measured puffs and allow the cigar time to rest between them. Smoking too quickly may overheat the tobacco and affect its natural flavor.
Cigar smoke is traditionally tasted in the mouth and released it is not intended to be inhaled.
Respect the Ash
Allow the ash to develop naturally. When it is ready to fall, gently tap or roll it into an ashtray. Avoid repeatedly knocking the cigar against the ashtray, as this may damage the wrapper.
Removing the Band
Removing the cigar band is a matter of personal preference. Those who choose to remove it should wait until the cigar has warmed slightly, allowing the adhesive to loosen and reducing the risk of tearing the wrapper.

Enjoy the Conversation
A fine cigar is often accompanied by good conversation, but always remain mindful of others. Avoid blowing smoke toward another person, criticizing someone else’s cigar choice, or turning the experience into a competition.
Every palate is personal, and every well-made cigar deserves respect.

Finishing the Cigar
When you have finished, place the cigar gently in the ashtray and allow it to extinguish naturally. Do not crush it like a cigarette, as doing so can release harsh and unpleasant aromas.
