Several carried tobacco seed from Cuba's famed Vuelta Abajo region with them. Planted in the Dominican Republic's Cibao Valley, that seed became known as Piloto Cubano, a Cuban varietal that took on a distinct character once it met Dominican soil, sun, and rain.

Today Piloto Cubano is considered a Dominican tobacco in its own right, alongside the native Olor Dominicano and the milder San Vicente hybrid. The Craft Behind Every Blend

Quality tobacco alone does not make a great cigar. How a cigar is filled matters just as much. An underfilled cigar draws too easily, burns too fast, and smokes hot and harsh. An overfilled cigar is difficult to draw at all. Finding that balance, and repeating it precisely across thousands of cigars, is what separates a real brand from a single custom blend. How the Process Works

A private label project moves through a few clear stages. A client shares a vision, a budget, and a target strength profile. DAVTIAN proposes blend options and vitolas, and the client approves a sample before anything is rolled at scale. Band and box artwork are developed alongside the blend. Once a deposit is placed and artwork and blend are approved, full production typically takes twelve to sixteen weeks. A complete brand build, from first conversation to finished goods, generally spans four to eight months. Minimum order quantity starts at 500 cigars, with a premium applied to smaller runs.
